DPFKS Announce Debut Album: So Much Love To Give
The debut full-length album from the MPLS music scene vets (The Umbrella Sequence / Blind Shake) is a soundtrack for a fractured era — equal parts protest and love letter, everyday reality and cinematic escape. A battle cry of hope amongst the chaos.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Minneapolis, MN — October, 2025 — Emerging from Minneapolis’ underground with a sound as vivid as it is vulnerable, DPFKS (Deep Fakes) announce the release of their debut full-length album, So Much Love To Give. The album captures the contradictions of modern life in recent years — instability and resilience, collapse and renewal, absurdity and tenderness — reframing them in saturated, cinematic soundscapes that pulse with both urgency and tenderness. So Much Love To Give will be available on all major streaming platforms Friday, October 17th, 2025. A vinyl release show a week later on October 24th at Zhora Darling.
A Soundtrack for Our Fractured Reality
“In times of chaos, I often find myself circling back to the simplest truths: love, faith, forgiveness, connection,” - Jacob Swogger, lead vocalist
Heavily written during a period of profound upheaval and tension, So Much Love To Give centers around the pillars of family, friends and faith at a moment when the ground itself feels unsteady in America. The album’s lyrical themes grapple with the noise of pandemic isolation, cultural and political extremes, technological acceleration, and the sheer weight and absurdity of living in America, all while managing to uncover what endures.
“In times of chaos, I often find myself circling back to the simplest truths: love, faith, forgiveness, connection,” says frontman Jacob Swogger. “There is a duality to this record of both protest and love letter. It’s an honest reflection of instability and fragility, but also a reminder of what’s worth holding onto.”
Cinematic in Sound
Built with a saturated, widescreen feel, each song unfolds like a scene from a film
The album is sonically immersive, layered with guitars, synths, drum machines, harmonies, and fragments of everyday life — hidden samples and details waiting to be discovered. Built with a saturated, widescreen feel, each song unfolds like a scene from a film: grounded in reality but reframed in vivid color, sound, and scope. Pushing back shadows with neon lights.
Standout Tracks & Singles
“Magnetic Rock” — the group's debut single, explores connection as both weight and release.
“New American Anthem” — Confronts the growing Christian Nationalist, hypercapitalist, fear-based, authoritarian version of America.
“White as a Ghost” — Searching for meaning and identity as the world crumbles.
“So Much Love To Give” — a title track that insists on hope even in instability.
